TMLR Beyond PDF is a new submission format for TMLR, using Markdown/HTML documents that support interactive figures, videos, or other rich media. This format is inspired by interactive publication formats such as Distill.pub and ICLR Blogposts.

The submission process for TMLR Beyond PDF is largely the same as standard TMLR. Submissions are made on OpenReview to ensure that the peer-review process remains double-blind. To make a Beyond PDF submission, just select the brand new “Beyond PDF submission (pageless, webpage-style content)” submission type and upload a zipped folder containing your submission files (the author kit can be found here).
Once you submit to TMLR Beyond PDF, your submission will automatically be rendered at https://tmlr-beyond-pdf.org/under_review!
Check out https://tmlr-beyond-pdf.org/submission-instructions for detailed submission instructions. Also check out the TMLR website for more details on TMLR’s editorial policies, review process and other information that applies to both conventional and Beyond PDF submissions.
Special thanks to the OpenReview team, in particular Celeste Martinez and Melisa Bok, for their help!
We also extend our thanks to the committee led by Pablo Samuel Castro that made recommendations regarding the extension of TMLR to the Beyond PDF format. The committee included Susan Zhang, Fabian Pedregosa, Nikhil Thorat, Thomas Dietterich, Sara Hooker, Hugo Larochelle, and Paul Vicol.
The TMLR Beyond PDF website was designed and implemented by Paul Vicol, Managing Editor of TMLR.
